Washington, Nov. 26 (VNA) - C-Span, a US public TV channel, on Nov. 25 evening carried a segment presenting two books written by Philip Jones Griffiths, a famous American journalist and photographer, about Viet Nam and the consequences of Agent Orange/Dioxin in the war-torn country.

In these photo-illustrated books, Griffiths, who has visited Viet Nam 25 times since the Viet Nam war ended, animatedly outlined Viet Nam's land and people in the post-war period and described the suffering of Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.

He has launched a website, www.agentorangevietnam.net, to not only introduce these books but also call upon American readers and others across the world to provide assistance for the Vietnamese AO victims. Griffiths was the first Western person who traveled overland from Ha Noi to Ho Chi Minh City after the US war in Viet Nam. He also traveled along the historic Ho Chi Minh trail to photograph the war-torn country, which has changed rapidly in the years since the war, making great strides in national construction and development.
